Grandma

We were lucky to have Grandma (Lauren's mom) come and stay with us for a few days when Reese was born. We are so grateful to her for being with us and helping out so much. She cooked meals, helped with Reese and was able to go to our doctor appointment with us while Barrett was at school, which we were so grateful for. Grandma sure loves her little granddaughter! Reese got to talk to Nana (Barrett's mom) on the phone a few days ago! When she heard Nana's voice on the phone she stopped moving and fussing and intently listened, it was so cute. We are so excited to see Nana and Grandpa Batchelder when they come to visit in May!

Daddy's girl

Barrett loves to have Reese fall asleep on his chest like this. She is definitely Daddy's little girl! -he cannot get enough of her. He always wants to hold her, kiss her and he always tells her he loves her. I am so impressed at what a wonderful father Barrett is, it makes me love him even more. He is so good at taking care of the baby, but also has been so helpful with laundry, dishes and housework. I don't know what I would have done without him these past few weeks!

In the hospital

The whole Batchelder family!

She's here!!

Reese arrived on April 2 at 2:24 in the afternoon. She weighed 7 lbs 1 oz, and was 20 inches long. She has lots of dark hair, which we were very excited about, because I thought she would be bald like I was. It has been a wonderful and overwhelming experience to have a child in our lives. I can't believe it has been three weeks today since she was born! The days are flying by and she's changing all the time.
